For anyone considering taking up Surfing as their latest sport, the thought of your first day at the beach and your first attempts at catching waves can be a very intimidating thought. Like most sports, the best way to learn to surf is to do it.

In the 1930s, the sport of surfing was experiencing a Renaissance. Easier to carry and manage out in the water but with all the surfing ease of a longboard. There are many things to learn starting out, like terminology, safety precautions and surfing etiquette.

There are many excellent surfing instructors throughout the world. This allows greater stability. Also, wetsuits are often provided with your sessions, but you can always have your own.

You will need to do this many times before you get it. Practice makes Perfect.
